This diploma thesis deals with the credit crunch in the model of disequilibrium in the credit market. The basis of the empirical analysis is the application of methods of maximum likelihood on the modified time series. Using this method will be by estimated each function of supply and demand, on the basis of which will be determined by the individual disequilibrium. The results from the overall analysis will help us make recommendations for policy-makers

The bachelor thesis Theoretical conceptions of Czechoslovak transformation: Factors that influenced the creation of transformation strategy focuses on the Czechoslovak economic transformation in the early 1990s and describes the process of creating the Czechoslovak transformation strategy. The thesis answers the question of whether the selected topics and their discussions conducted on the pages of the scientific journal Politická ekonomie were reflected in the final transformation strategy and the implemented reform measures between the years 1991-93. The topics of labor productivity and economic growth, imbalance, price system and price liberalization were chosen for the analysis. First, the thesis focuses on the descriptive analysis of the journal's articles from 1989-93 that discuss selected topics, and maps in detail the development of their content and the opinions of their authors. In the following chapter, the thesis compares findings from the descriptive analysis with measures presented in the final Czechoslovak transformation scenario and with the practical policy in 1991-93. A behavioral analysis of market failures

The thesis deals with a contemporary stream of the behavioral economics at the labour market in connection with a divergence to the neoclassical theory based on explicit assumption of rationality. The existing theoretical approaches and the examples of experiments are introduced in the theoretical part. The irrational impacts on labour market is defined by the amount of wage, unemployment, education, but on the other hand also by motivation, loss aversion, prejudices and other cognitive biases in human decision making process. The practical part is based on the standardized questionnaire survey in which the respondents were given some simplified decision making dilemmas in context of the labour market. The aim of the thesis is to observe their tendency to choose not always the most effective option and to validate the impact of irrational factors on decision making according to the theoretical approaches. Euro Area and its imbalances

This thesis deals with economical development of Euro Area and related structural imbalances and systemic weaknesses. As a region with common monetary policy Euro Area serves as a prime example of consequences of not fulfilling theoretical conditions which are needed for proper functioning of Optimal Currency Area concept. Current economical crisis fully revealed these imperfections and divergence process which deepened dtrucvtural differences between core and peripheral countries. My thesis will describe concept of Optimal Currency Area and international adjustment processes. Cardinal part of thesis will contain description and analysis of economical development of core and peripheral countries within Euro Area since its establishment to present with focus on revealed macroeconomical imbalances. Main aim is to show and analyze major economical causes of present crisis. In the end of thesis possible solutions and reforms designed to prevent similar development in the future will be presented.
Sino-american economic relations at the begining of the 21st century and their impact on the world economy.

The thesis deals with sino-american economic cooperation with the emphasis on the period after 2000 and the current situation. The objective was to evaluate these relations and to analyse selected problems associated with the international trade. The thesis is dividend into six chapters. First two deal with general description of both economies and short summary of up to date relations. The third chapter concentrates on the structure of mutual trade and investment, with the emphasis on the concentration of foreign exchange in present China and its role in the U.S. federal debt. The fourth chapter targets three selected problems -- mutual cooperation within the WTO and the existing trade barriers, current Chinese exchange rate policy and the problem of unemployment and open economy. The fifth chapter targets the international trade theory, especially sustainability of long term deficit in the current account, problem of foreign debt and international investment position. The last chapter is handling with the impact of USA and China on the imbalance in the world economy and changes associated with the rise of China as the second-largest world economy.
